I graduated from Murray State in 2004, and I obtained my master's degree in Reading and Mathematics in April 2009 from Walden University.  In the future, I am planning on obtaining my Rank I in technology, and I am very excited about that!

I am in my fifteenth year at Sinking Fork, and during that time, I taught fourth and fifth grade Language for one year and Science for two years, second grade Math for six years, one year teaching third grade Science and Social Studies, and first grade Reading for a year, one year of second grade self-contained, one year of 2nd grade Science/Social Studies, and for two years STEM. This is my 2nd year of STEM, and I am excited to see what Project Lead The Way and STEM has in store for our students' learning this year.   I am the teacher leader for our school's Infinite Campus program and TIP coordinator.

I have previously served on the SBDM (Site Based Decision Making Council) for 5 years as a member and was the STLP coordinator for Sinking Fork for 5 years.  Busy, busy, busy!

I LOVE being at Sinking Fork!  I am very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family of professionals and friends.  I LOVE being able to watch students learn, grow, and develop their skills while they are working with one another.  It's VERY rewarding!  I look forward to working with you and your child!

Bio

I have lived across the map from Alaska to Florida due to my dad being in the Army.  After he retired, we moved to Kentucky where I met my husband and got to set down roots.  I have been married to my husband, Steven, for 17 years and we have two handsome and talented sons: Hunter, who is 15 and in tenth grade and an avid NASCAR enthusiast, artist, plays golf, and is learning a trade with his afternoon job.  He's very energetic and makes me smile.  Colt, is 9 and a forth grader too!  He LOVES being outside riding his John Deere gator or scooter, he's full of hugs and laughter, and enjoys going to work with his Pap.  I'm very proud of my family!  Love them to bits!  In our spare time my family enjoys going to church, being outdoors, playing football and basketball, gardening, walking, cooking out, four-wheeling, fishing or being out on the boat, hunting, and getting together with our family and friends.
